The Instagram retains the same classic design in a long time, but some users recently got a taste of a more…
minimalist style with a redesign of the popular social network.
A small percentage of the global community of Instagram is part of a “test design”, as confirmed by those responsible, in accordance with which the traditional blue line is replaced with a pattern of white and gray color.
The monochromatic environment of the theme seems to be giving more attention to the images and in an application with a more modern look, but the company says that “this is just a test design”. Those who belong to the fortunate users whom appears the test change to meet the new layout have also noticed a difference in images. Plus, with this style, the photos feature elegant contours which stand in a white background and separate the one from the other in each profile. The camera in the middle doesn’t look like anymore with the logo of Instagram, but more like a real camera, and the icon of the activity that is today normally a heart, the new plan is simply the outline of a heart.
The Instagram, however, is not clear yet if this is a new provision that has many chances to be the future that you will acquire the social network or if it is one of the various layouts that will test in the future until you come up with some change. “We often try new experiences in a small percentage of the global community. This is a pilot project only,” said a representative of the Instagram in the Daily Mail. A lot of new features, indeed, appear to some users, usually disappear without ever made some additional comment about that. Earlier this month, the popular social network had tried a new feature with channels of interest for each user depending on what seems to interest him more. The function reported “Video that you might like” and “Recommended” channels from other users of Instagram all over the world.
The next time will show if this change is here to stay or if it is even a design test that is not satisfied enough the makers of Instagram in order to implement it.
