West Bank: Israeli Settlers Torched Houses and Cars in Deir Dibwan

Dozens of Israeli settlers torched houses and cars today (04/06/2025) in the city of Deir Dibwan, according to reports from Palestinian media. The Palestinian Red Crescent treated seven residents of Deir Dibwan in the West Bank who reported being assaulted by settlers from Israel. The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that the attackers threw stones at several residents. According to sources from security services, the online edition of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz (ynet) stated that around 40 young Israelis, some masked, entered the city of Deir Dibwan near Ramallah. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have deployed forces in the area, with an IDF spokesperson confirming investigations into the attack reports. Violence in the West Bank, under Israeli occupation since 1967, has escalated following the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, triggered by the unprecedented Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023. Since then, at least 928 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military or settler attacks in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, official Israeli data indicate that at least 33 Israelis—civilians and soldiers—have died in Palestinian attacks or during Israeli military incursions.
