The weather will be rainy across most of Greece on February 5, 2026, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS), accompanied by a drop in temperatures. Light snowfall is forecast over mountainous mainland areas. African dust transport is likely, especially over central and southern Greece. Winds will shift from south to west/northwest in the afternoon, gradually weakening. Temperatures will slightly decline: highs of 12–14°C in northern mainland, 15–17°C in the Ionian and rest of mainland, and 18–19°C in other islands. In Macedonia and Thrace, expect cloudiness with rain and isolated thunderstorms—locally intense until nightfall, with light snow in mountainous zones. Winds: southeast 4–6 Beaufort, locally 7 at sea, shifting west/northwest and easing by afternoon. Temperatures: 7–14°C (3–4°C lower in western Macedonia). In Ionian Islands, Epirus, western Central Greece, and western Peloponnese: increased clouds, rain, and scattered thunderstorms—locally intense, easing from midday northward. Light snow possible in Epirus’ mountains. Winds: south-southwest 5–6 Beaufort, locally 7 in southern Ionian, shifting west/northwest and easing afternoon. Temperatures: 10–16°C (2–3°C lower inland Epirus). In Thessaly, eastern Central Greece, Evia, and eastern Peloponnese: clouds with rain and isolated thunderstorms, improving by evening. Winds: south-southwest 5–7 Beaufort, shifting west-northwest 4–6 Beaufort by night. Temperatures: 10–17°C (2–3°C lower in the north). Cyclades: similar conditions with rain and thunderstorms.
