This Saturday, May 10th, will be rainy in most areas. The weather forecast by the National Meteorological Service (EMY) indicates a slight drop in temperature. In Macedonia and Thrace, clouds will intermittently increase with local showers and scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena may be strong in places until noon in the eastern parts. In the northern Aegean, Cyclades, Crete, and Dodecanese islands, there will be occasional cloud cover with local showers. The rest of the country will initially be clear, but clouds will develop over land, especially in Thessaly, Evia, eastern Sterea, and eastern Peloponnese, leading to local showers or downpours and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Winds will blow from northerly directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, locally up to 6 Beaufort on the seas, and only in the southeastern Aegean, southeasterly winds will reach 4 to 6 Beaufort. Temperatures will slightly decrease, remaining high in the south for this time of year. They will reach 20-22°C in the north, 24-26°C in the remaining areas, and locally 28-29°C in Crete. Attica and Thessaloniki are expected to see partly cloudy skies turning into local showers with possible isolated thunderstorms in the north. Macedonia and Thrace will experience showers and scattered thunderstorms, with stronger phenomena possible in eastern areas until noon. Ionian Islands, Epirus, Western Sterea, and Western Peloponnese will start clear but develop rain and isolated thunderstorms in the mountains later. Eastern Sterea, Evia, and Eastern Peloponnese will also see developing clouds and local showers or isolated thunderstorms. The Cyclades and Crete will have scattered clouds with some local showers early morning in Crete. The Eastern Aegean and Dodecanese islands will have increasing clouds with slight chances of local showers, clearing up by noon. Thessaly will see light showers and brief thunderstorms in the afternoon.
