The north winds in the Aegean and in the eastern coastal parts of the country will be strengthened today, with the result that the risk of forest fires spreading in these areas is increased.
According to the forecast data of the National Observatory of Athens, on Saturday the intensities of the north winds in the Aegean will reach 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
The strengthening of the winds is expected to create unfavorable pyro-meteorological conditions in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
