High temperatures for the season are the main feature of the weather in recent days, while according to meteorologists’ forecasts, it will change significantly from Sunday to even low altitudes and cold throughout the country. In fact, on Sunday and Monday “Balkan snow” will bring snow and a significant drop in temperature. According to the weather forecast by George Tsatrafyllia, the temperature drop will be impressive while the winds will be north and strong. CORVERSE George Tsatrafyllias notes: “With “soft” weather progresses the second week of the year with the temperature being 5-6 degrees above normal levels, rains are limited and morning fogs are particularly intense. PREPARATION FOR SUNDAY 12-01-2025 Increased clouds and rains throughout the country. Sporadic storms will occur mainly in the west where phenomena may be locally strong. Snowfalls will occur in western Macedonia, the mountains of the rest of the northern country and from the evening to the northern half-mountains as well as the central and southern mountains. The winds will blow in the west southeast 4 to 6 and gradually 6 to 7 Beauforts while in the central and northern parts of eastern Greece northeast 6 to 7 Beauforts. In the area of Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese they will breathe south 3 to 5 Beauforts. The temperature will drop significantly in northern and central Greece. PROGRESS FOR MONDAY 13-01-2025 Rains across the country almost. Sporadic storms will occur on the eastern mainland and the Aegean where phenomena may be locally strong.
