Greeks are set to celebrate this year’s national holiday on March 25th with drizzle and warmer temperatures, according to the latest weather forecasts. Meteorologist Christina Regou stated that daytime temperatures could reach 20-24°C, with highs of up to 27°C in Crete—about 5 degrees above average for this time of year. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with some drizzle, mainly in the western and northern regions. A strong south wind will reach 7-8 Beaufort in the Aegean and Ionian seas over the weekend. Meanwhile, African dust will linger over Greece until Tuesday, with slightly higher concentrations in Western Greece. This phenomenon might cause muddy rain in affected areas. According to Christina Regou, light showers are expected in Corfu, Lefkada, Epirus, Macedonia, and Thessaly (Larissa, Karditsa, and Trikala) early Tuesday morning.
