The upcoming week, starting from Monday, May 5th, 2025, will bring exceptionally high temperatures reaching up to 35°C. Meteorologist Christina Regou predicts a gradual rise in temperature starting on Monday, peaking at 35°C by Wednesday, May 7th. This weekend will be extremely spring-like, with temperatures rising from Saturday, May 3rd, ranging between 26-28°C. From Monday onward, the weather will feel distinctly summery, continuing until Saturday, where we can expect temperatures around 30°C in northern and eastern regions. According to Regou, the heat will intensify further, with the warmest day being Wednesday, May 7th, particularly in areas of Thessaly, Boeotia, Argolida, and Crete, where thermometers may hit 33°C. In northern coastal areas of Crete, due to southern winds, temperatures could reach as high as 35°C. These will be the highest temperatures of spring this year, reminiscent more of summer or June than May. Additionally, moderate amounts of African dust are expected in the atmosphere with some cloud cover.
