Weather Forecast: Slight Temperature Drop and Local Rain Expected

Friday, March 28th, is expected to be rainy according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). The weather forecast indicates that there will be increased cloudiness with local showers and sporadic thunderstorms in most areas of the country, especially in the west, north, and eastern Aegean. Weather phenomena are anticipated to be intense in places during the early hours in central Macedonia, moving to eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the northeastern Aegean by midday, and southwestern Peloponnese in the evening. Light snowfall is expected in central and northern mountainous regions. Winds will vary between 3-4 Beaufort, with southerly winds blowing at 5-6 Beaufort. Temperatures will slightly decrease, reaching 16-17°C in the west and north, and 18-20°C in the east and south. In Attica, scattered clouds are expected with possible weak local showers in the north during the afternoon. Thessaloniki will see initial rainfall and scattered thunderstorms followed by gradual improvement. Macedonia and Thrace will experience increased cloudiness with local showers and sporadic thunderstorms. Ionian Islands, Epirus, Western Sterea, and Western Peloponnese will have periodic increased cloudiness with localized showers intensifying gradually and sporadic thunderstorms. Eastern Sterea, Evia, and Eastern Peloponnese will encounter scattered clouds with localized showers in the afternoon. Cyclades and Crete will see scattered clouds with weak local showers mainly in Crete. The islands of the eastern Aegean and Dodecanese will face periodic increased cloudiness with local showers until midday.
