Weather Forecast for Tomorrow: Rain, Thunderstorms, and African Dust – Which Areas Will Be Most Affected?

Tomorrow, Saturday (17.05.25), is expected to bring unstable weather conditions across most regions of Greece. The forecast highlights rain and thunderstorms, which may reach intense levels in some areas, along with African dust and a slight drop in temperatures. According to the National Meteorological Service (EMY), eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the islands of the eastern Aegean will experience rain and strong thunderstorms in the northern areas during the morning hours. The rest of the country will see scattered clouds with occasional showers mainly in the afternoon and evening over mainland areas. Transport of African dust is favorable towards the south. Winds will blow from westerly directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, with local gusts up to 6 Beaufort at sea. Temperatures will slightly decrease in the south and rise minimally in the north. In the north, temperatures will range between 22°C to 23°C, while in other areas, they will range from 22°C to 24°C, and locally in inland areas and Crete, up to 25°C Celsius.
