Weather Forecast for Tomorrow: Rain, Thunderstorms, and African Dust – Up to 24°C Expected

With increased cloud cover, several areas will experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and intense African dust as we head into Monday (March 24, 2025). According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service’s weather forecast, clouds are expected across the country, with rain in the west, central, and northern regions. Thunderstorms will primarily occur in the northwest. Winds will blow from southern directions at 4 to 6 Beaufort scales, reaching up to 8 locally over the seas and possibly up to 9 temporarily in the Ionian Sea, facilitating the transport of African dust mainly toward western and southern areas. Temperatures will slightly rise, reaching 18°C in northern continental areas, 19–22°C in other regions, and 22–24°C in western continental and Dodecanese areas. Visibility may be locally restricted in the mornings in the north. Attica: Increased cloudiness, winds from southern directions at 4–6 Beaufort, and temperatures ranging from 9°C to 21°C. Thessaloniki: Increased cloudiness with local showers intermittently, southeasterly winds at 3–4 Beaufort, and temperatures from 7°C to 17–18°C. Macedonia-Thrace: Increased cloudiness with local showers, winds from southern directions at 3–5 Beaufort, and temperatures from 7°C to 18°C. Western Greece: Increased cloudiness with local showers, isolated thunderstorms or downpours in the afternoon in northern Ionian and Epirus, winds from southern directions at 5–8 Beaufort, and temperatures from 12°C to 22–23°C. Eastern Sterea-Evia-Peloponnese: Increased cloudiness with possible local showers in eastern Sterea, winds from southern directions at 5–7 Beaufort, and temperatures from 9°C to 21°C. Cyclades-Crete: Periodic increased cloudiness in the Cyclades, sparse clouds in Crete, winds from southern directions at 4–6 Beaufort, and temperatures from 14°C to 21–24°C. Aegean Islands-Dodecanese: Increased cloudiness with few local showers, winds at 5–8 Beaufort with slight weakening by afternoon, and temperatures from 11°C to 22–23°C.
