The sunny weather will temporarily retreat tomorrow (May 21, 2025). While thunderstorms are expected only in northern Ionian, Epirus, and Macedonia, clouds will dominate the entire country. According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), late in the evening, rains and thunderstorms may also occur in the rest of the Ionian region and western Sterea Ellada. The rest of the country will generally experience clear weather with occasional afternoon and evening cloud cover over inland areas, where local showers or isolated thunderstorms could develop in mountainous regions. Winds will blow from southern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, while in the southeastern Aegean, northerly winds will prevail at the same intensity. Temperatures will remain stable, reaching 25-27°C in most areas, with localized highs of 28-29°C in eastern inland regions, Crete, and the Dodecanese. Attica will see mostly clear skies with variable winds at 3 Beaufort, occasionally strengthening to 4 Beaufort during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will range from 16°C to 29°C. Thessaloniki is forecasted to have scattered clouds thickening during the afternoon and evening, with a chance of localized showers or isolated thunderstorms. Macedonia and Thrace will experience scattered clouds that will gradually thicken, leading to local showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially in the mountains of Macedonia. The islands of the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western Sterea Ellada, and western Peloponnese will see scattered clouds that will thicken, resulting in local showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly in northern Ionian, Epirus, and later in the evening in the remaining Ionian and western Sterea Ellada.
