Hot and mostly clear conditions are expected across Greece on Saturday, June 27, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). While skies will remain generally sunny nationwide, isolated afternoon and evening cloud development is forecast over inland areas — particularly in mountainous regions of northern Greece and Epirus, where brief showers or thunderstorms may occur.

Wind Conditions

Winds will be notably strong, especially in the Aegean Sea, where northerly to north-northeasterly winds will reach 7–8 on the Beaufort scale — locally gusting to gale force. In the eastern Aegean and Dodecanese, winds will range from 4–6 Beaufort, shifting to northeasterly in the east and northwesterly in parts of the Dodecanese. Western Greece will see northerly winds at 3–5 Beaufort, while central and eastern mainland areas will experience north-northeasterlies at 4–6 Beaufort — reaching 7–8 Beaufort near the eastern coast and Attica’s eastern suburbs.

Temperatures

Temperatures will rise slightly in the Ionian Sea and inland regions. Most areas will see highs between 33°C and 35°C, with western Greece — including western Macedonia and western Peloponnese — potentially hitting 36°C. In the Cyclades and Crete, temperatures will range from 22°C to 29°C, locally reaching 32°C in parts of Crete. The Ionian Islands and Dodecanese will also approach 33°C, while inland Epirus will be 3–4°C cooler than surrounding lowland areas.
