Extremely high temperatures are expected across Greece from Sunday (06-07-25) through Wednesday (09-07-25). The temperature rise will begin on Saturday (05-07-25) in the western regions and Macedonia, and on Sunday throughout the rest of Greece.
The highest values (maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius) will be recorded starting Monday (07-07-25) in inland areas of continental Greece, particularly in the west, central, and northern parts. It is noted that:
A. In coastal areas of mainland Greece, the maximum temperature will be 2 to 4 degrees lower than the temperature in the interior of mainland Greece.
B. Humidity levels will remain low (approximately 20% to 30% during midday hours in inland areas of continental Greece).
C. Minimum temperatures on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in urban centers will remain at high levels, ranging around 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.

1. On Sunday (06-07-25), high temperatures will prevail across all continental regions and the Ionian Sea. Maximum values will reach:
a) 38 to 39 and possibly locally up to 40 degrees Celsius in Macedonia, Thessaly, Epirus, and western Central Greece.
b) 37 to 39 degrees Celsius in eastern Central Greece and the Peloponnese.
c) 35 to 36 degrees Celsius on the Ionian Islands.
2. On Monday (07-07-25), very high temperatures will occur on the Ionian islands and all continental areas, while temperatures will also rise in the eastern insular region. Maximum values will reach:
a) 39 to 40 and locally up to 41 degrees Celsius in continental Greece.
b) 36 to 38 degrees Celsius on the Ionian Islands, islands of the Eastern Aegean, and the Dodecanese.
3. On Tuesday (08-07-25) and Wednesday (09-07-25), a slight decrease in high temperatures is expected in the Ionian Sea and western continental areas, with a small increase (approximately 1 to 2 degrees) in eastern continental areas and the Aegean. Maximum temperatures are estimated to reach locally up to 41 to 42 degrees Celsius in continental regions.
