At least five people were killed on Monday (02.06.2025) due to strikes in eastern Ukraine, according to local officials. Vadim Filaschin, the governor of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, reported in a Telegram post that one person was killed and two injured in Kramatorsk—a strategically significant city targeted by Russian forces. Two deaths and three injuries resulted from a preceding bombardment in the city of Yilinivka. In the Kharkiv region further north, prosecutors reported that two women were killed in a village south of the city of Kupiansk, which has been under continuous attack for months. The mayor of Kupiansk had previously stated that 90% of the city has been destroyed.
