Voridis: The employee either returns vaccinated or decides to change job

The Minister of Interior, Makis Voridis, among others, spoke about the issues arising from the discussion on compulsory vaccination.

Mr. Voridis explained that if there is no special provision of law regarding compulsory vaccination, there will be sanctions for violation of an employment contract.

Responding to a question about possible sanctions, he said “there is a fan of options”.

Then Makis Voridis spoke about the replacement of employees who are put on suspension, noting that it is not an easy task.

“If there is no time horizon for the replacement, you will not easily find a person who wants to work without knowing how much he will work,” he said.
