Volos: Youths Ride Sofa on Electric Scooters, Ignoring Traffic Laws

A daring and reckless decision was made by youths in Volos who decided not to leave the comfort of their… sofa. On Saturday afternoon (13.04.2025), residents of Volos witnessed an unusual incident. The young individuals took a sofa, placed it on electric scooters, and drove around the city streets, completely disregarding traffic laws. Electric scooters have been placed in the city as part of a pilot program. The two youths had a novel idea: instead of using the scooters conventionally, they attached a wooden pallet with a sofa on top, transforming them into a ‘mobile entertainment platform.’ According to witnesses, the youths’ ‘vehicle’ ran at least two red lights, shocking onlookers and creating risks for serious accidents. The incident has already sparked reactions on social media, with an expected intervention from traffic authorities.
