Volos: Woman’s Balcony Collapses as She Steps Out – Minor Injuries

A 43-year-old woman in Volos experienced a terrifying incident when the balcony she stepped onto suddenly collapsed, sending her crashing to the ground amid rubble and debris. The accident occurred at the intersection of Achillopoulou and Admitou streets in Volos, at an old two-story building occupied by two sisters. According to initial reports by ERT, the woman was on the upper-floor balcony and attempted to descend to ground level via an external staircase when the structure gave way. Despite the severity of the fall, she sustained only minor injuries and was transported by EKAB ambulance to Volos General Hospital for precautionary examinations. Her sister, panicked, called EKAB immediately; neighbors also rushed to the scene upon hearing the loud crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse.
