Volos: Driver Shocked as Snake Emerges from Car Hood While Driving

in

A female driver in Volos could never have imagined the ordeal she would face when she started her car in Kala Nera. Suddenly, while the car was in motion, she saw a snake emerge from under the hood. The snake made its appearance as the woman was driving through a central point of Volos on Analipseos Street. Despite her panic, the driver pulled over, stopped the car, and exited it running, calling the fire department for help. According to the head of the Special Forces Unit (SFD) of Magnesia, Vassilis Heliopoulos, the snake had taken refuge in the engine compartment of the vehicle at an unsuspecting moment. Despite the thorough checks by the firefighters that followed, the snake was initially not located, having hidden deep inside the engine. Eventually, Mr. Heliopoulos himself managed to catch the snake. ‘All’s well that ends well,’ commented the head of SFD, emphasizing the need for drivers parking or traveling in semi-mountainous and riverside areas, like Kala Nera, to be extra cautious, especially during summer when snakes seek cool and dark hiding spots such as engine compartments.
