Video of Narcotics Ring Bust in Attica – 4 Arrests in Marathon and Nea Makri

Greek police dismantled a narcotics trafficking ring operating in Attica. A coordinated operation by Hellenic Police in Nea Makri and Marathon led to the arrest of four individuals—three men aged 38, 26, and 23, plus a fourth already incarcerated. The group distributed cannabis and cocaine primarily in northeastern Attica since at least October last year. Their hub was allegedly the 38-year-old’s residence in Marathon, where drugs were packaged and dispatched for daily orders. The 26-year-old supplied narcotics from his home, while the 23-year-old handled street-level sales—often via contactless drop-offs. Encrypted messaging apps and coded language were used to evade detection. Investigators uncovered over 200 drug transactions. Authorities seized 196g of cocaine, 175g of raw cannabis, €1,210, precision scales, numerous plastic bags, a knife, six vehicles—including one reported stolen in 2020—and 16 mobile phones. Suspects face charges including participation in a criminal organization, narcotics violations, weapons offenses, money laundering, and handling proceeds of crime. All four appeared before the relevant prosecutor.
