Alarm signaled to the Shipwreck Fire Department for shortly after 10 on Friday night (10.01,2025). In particular the fire was displayed in a truck that had direction from Antirio to Ioannina on the Ionian Way. CORVERSE Shortly after the Machyneia tunnel, the truck driver perceived the fire and immediately immobilized the heavy vehicle. He managed to disconnect the cart he had on the back and tried to extinguish the fire, while also informing the Ionian Road services and the fire department. CORVERSE Traffic interrupted the traffic of the vehicles from the Antirion hub so that no other accident would be caused, but that firefighters could extinguish the fire.
