Macedonia by signing a cooperation agreement with the Chamber of commerce of the city, with the aim of joint actions, which will be the “vehicle” of broader partnerships in the areas of development, outreach, training, education and information.
The cooperation pact was signed by the Rector of the University, professor Achilles Î–Î±Ï€ÏÎ¬Î½Î·Ï‚ and the President of the Chamber of Larissa, Demetrios Adam, in the presence of a Financial Supervisor and a member of the BOARD of directors of the Chamber of commerce, Dimitris Economou, Director Katerina Tsolakis, Secretary, Î’Î¹Î²Î®Ï‚ Î™Î±Ï„ÏÎ¿Ï€Î¿ÏÎ»Î¿Ï…, the Director of Finance, Nikos Î¤ÏƒÎ¿ÏÎ³ÎºÎ¿Ï…, the Special Advisor, Gregory Papacharalambous, nb. professor and Director of Studies of the Company’s Management and Utilization of the University of Macedonia, Ioannis Lazaridis, as well as the associate professor, Eleni Gavra.
As stated by the Rector of the University, professor Achilles Î–Î±Ï€ÏÎ¬Î½Î·Ï‚, “working with dynamic and active in the Chamber of Larissa, except the fact that it confirms the extrovert mood of the University, broaden their geographic horizons and gives you the ability to yield mutual benefits. The reason for this initiative was the recent organization of the accelerated programme of tourist Guides to Larissa, which is scientific responsible was mr Gavras. The excellent cooperation with the responsible of the Chamber of commerce opened the way for the current pact, which we are sure will bear rich fruit”.
“Our goal is to harness the scientific potential of the University of Macedonia, in order to strengthen the development of entrepreneurship in our region”, noted the President of the Chamber of Larissa, Demetrios Adam. He stressed that “the Î•Ï€Î¹Î¼ÎµÎ»Î·Ï„Î®ÏÎ¹ÏŒ us is among the five largest in the country and among the members are Ï…Î³Î¹ÎÏƒÏ„Î±Ï„ÎµÏ‚ enterprises, which have withstood and can withstand the crisis. Among our objectives is to provide economic and business information the University of Macedonia, in order to exploit not only the local community but also the wider community.” Mr. Adam further pointed out that “we hope that with common events to make use of the Hall of the Chamber of commerce, and in addition, to create a permanent secretariat of the University of Macedonia, greece in Larissa, which will serve the University, on the other hand, will create a constant and direct line of communication between us”.
In accordance with the agreement signed, the cooperation includes, inter alia, the following fields:
The availability of information, statistical data and findings of entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Larissa to the University of Macedonia as well as the corresponding availability of scientific findings, and, with common consent and to the extent that there is no legal impediment, the results of studies of the University of Macedonia to the Chamber
the guidance for the purpose of transfer of knowledge, skills and know-how from the University of Macedonia, for the promotion of the business activity of the members of the Chamber of Larissa in the joint claim and the implementation of transnational and national development projects
the scientific support activities of the Chamber by working groups of the University of Macedonia
the reception of students of the University of Macedonia for the traineeship at the Chamber of Larissa
the implementation of programmes for the training of the University of Macedonia in premises of the Chamber of Larissa, with joint administrative and accounting support, as well as
the operation information of the office of the University of Macedonia (which can act as a helpdesk) in Larissa, greece.
