Vasilis Biskinis: ‘I Wanted to Look Them in the Eyes and Say Sorry’ for the Accident He Caused

Vasilis Biskinis explained why he visited Panos Routsis, who is on a hunger strike, while also addressing the car accident he caused. Speaking on the show ‘Hamojela kai Pali’ on Mega, Biskinis said he was invited to visit Routsis. ‘The least I could do was come and offer courage to this man, just like thousands of others are doing. We all support him in his demand for the basic right to know how his child died,’ he said. Regarding the accident, Biskinis revealed he personally wanted to apologize to those whose vehicles were damaged. ‘On Sunday, I apologized to a woman who came to the police station. On Tuesday, I went back and asked for forgiveness for the distress caused. I wanted to see them face to face, look them in the eyes, and say sorry — then speak publicly,’ he stated. Notably, Biskinis returned to the Filothei neighborhood with sweets, expressing remorse to those affected by the crash.
