USA: Panic on Delta Flight – Pigeons Invade Plane, Passengers Scramble

Everything was set for takeoff! However, no one could have imagined that just minutes before the flight’s departure, ‘unexpected passengers’ would enter the plane uninvited. And yes, when they made their appearance, panic ensued! This unbelievable incident occurred during a Delta flight traveling from Minneapolis to Madison, Wisconsin. The pigeons managed to board the aircraft just before the takeoff process began, causing the flight to be delayed by an hour. Emergency procedures were immediately initiated. According to the Daily Mail, passenger Tom Ko recorded the chaos on his phone as a pigeon suddenly flew through the cabin. In the video, people are seen ducking while one man tries to stop the bird’s flight using his scarf. Eventually, the pigeon landed on the floor, but it was the second bird to invade the cabin, as another had been removed earlier with the help of airport staff. The pilot had previously announced the situation, informing both the crew and passengers, including the feathered ‘visitors.’ ‘Are you ready for this? There’s a pigeon inside the plane,’ he reportedly said. In communication with air traffic control, the pilot mentioned returning to the gate due to a ‘pigeon invasion,’ receiving the controller’s response: ‘It hasn’t happened to me again.’ The pilot replied that it was the second time for him, as ‘the first incident occurred half an hour ago.’ Commenting humorously on the situation, passenger Tom Ko said, ‘The pigeons probably got tired of flying and came in for a snack, not realizing nothing is served on such short flights!’ The flight eventually reached Madison an hour later than scheduled. Delta later apologized to passengers for the delay.
