USA: A private plane crashed in Virginia – 5 dead, among them and 1 child

A small private jet crashed into a forest and burned in Virginia’s. As a result, all five on board, police announced. The two-engine aircraft “IAI Astra 1125” fell between trees along a road near Hot Springs Airport, a community in the shadow of Allegheny Mountains, killing the pilot and three other adults along with a child, Virginia State Police announced. A State police spokesman told the Associated Press that the small private jet caught fire on impact. “Little crash site, everything has been burned,” he said, adding that state police are working with the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) to locate flight data and occupants. In a statement, the FAA did not provide information on the conditions of the crash and reported that the agency and NTSB would investigate. Police reported that the flight started from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was not scheduled to land at the Ingalls Field, adding that it was trying to make an emergency landing when it hit many trees and crashed on a slope. Hot Springs Airport, is located approximately 165 miles west of Virginia’s capital, Richmond, and closed after the crash.
