USA: 11 Inmates Escape from New Orleans Jail – “Armed and Dangerous”

Law enforcement in New Orleans has launched a manhunt for 11 inmates who escaped from a local jail, authorities announced on Friday (16.05.25). One of the escapees has already been recaptured. “Early this morning, we were informed that approximately 11 individuals had escaped,” stated Christopher Goudy, a member of the local police department, during a press conference. “All suspects are considered armed and dangerous,” he warned. One of the fugitives was apprehended earlier today in the historic center of the city, according to the Louisiana State Police, who added that investigations continue for the remaining escapees. Local media reports indicate that some of the fugitives are accused of murders.
