US Secretary Rubio Warns Russia and Ukraine: Submit Concrete Proposals or US Mediation Ends

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified today (April 29, 2025) that the USA will cease its mediation efforts unless Russia and Ukraine present ‘concrete proposals’ to end the war. ‘We have reached a point where both Russia and Ukraine need to make specific proposals to resolve the conflict,’ Rubio emphasized, as stated by the State Department’s representative, Tammy Bruce. ‘If there is no progress, we, as mediators, will withdraw from this process,’ she stressed.
