US: F-16 Fighter Intercepts Aircraft Violating Trump Golf Course Airspace

An F-16 fighter jet from the U.S. Air Force intercepted a private aircraft on Saturday, July 5, 2025, that had violated a ‘temporary restricted zone’ over Donald Trump’s golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. According to a statement from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the incident occurred at 14:39 local time (21:39 in Greece) and marked the fourth recorded airspace violation over Trump’s golf course that day.

A NORAD spokesperson confirmed the deployment of an F-16 fighter jet. The aircraft performed a dangerous maneuver, suddenly positioning itself in front of the private plane, forcing its pilot to immediately comply and quickly exit the restricted airspace.

The White House did not comment on the event. NORAD responded swiftly using its multi-layered defense system, including radar, satellites, and fighter jets designed to protect the skies over the United States and Canada.

The airspace above Bedminster is closed every time Trump is in town. Reports indicate that Trump is spending his weekend vacation in New Jersey.

In a public message addressed to pilots, NORAD tweeted: ‘Attention all pilots: If you’re flying anywhere near Bedminster, NJ, you’d better check NOTAMs 1353, 1358, 2246 and 2247. These TFRs are in place for a reason. No excuses! Stay sharp, stay legal, and stay out of restricted airspace.’

NORAD has reported several similar incidents in recent weeks and urges private aircraft pilots to review all flight advisories before departing for flights in the area.

This incident comes months after a similar event in March, when a civilian aircraft entered restricted airspace over Trump’s residence in Florida.
