US and France Pressure Russia to End the War in Ukraine – ‘It Must Stop Now’

The US and France continue to pressure Russia to end the war in Ukraine, with the US Secretary of State demanding an immediate halt to what he called an ‘unreasonable war.’ American Secretary of State Mark Rubio clarified to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov that it is time for the ‘unreasonable war’ in Ukraine to end. The United States remains determined to facilitate the conclusion of this conflict, as stated by State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce. During a phone call on Sunday, Rubio also discussed the next steps in peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and emphasized the need to stop the war immediately. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that they will intensify pressure on Russia over the next 8-10 days. He expressed hope that increased sanctions and threats might push Russia toward ceasefire negotiations.
