US: American and Chinese Officials to Discuss Potential Trade Agreement in London on Monday

On Friday evening (6/6/25), the US President announced that three members of his administration will meet with Chinese representatives in London on June 9th to discuss a potential trade agreement. In a post on the Truth Social platform, Donald Trump mentioned that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and the US Special Envoy for Trade Issues, James Grier, will participate in this meeting with Chinese representatives. It is worth noting that after accepting an invitation from his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, Donald Trump and his spouse Melania Trump are expected to attend.
