U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle announced today (June 24, 2026) on social media a meeting between Alexandros Exarchou, CEO and Managing Director of AKTOR Group, and a visiting delegation from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
A Shared Commitment to Strategic Investment
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Guilfoyle expressed enthusiasm about the discussions, highlighting their focus on identifying ways to support investment in Greece’s critical infrastructure. The DFC — a U.S. government agency that mobilizes private sector investment in developing countries and strategic markets — is deepening its engagement with Greek partners through this visit.
“I was thrilled to bring together a visiting delegation from @DFCgov and Alexandros Exarchou of AKTOR Group to explore ways to support investment in Greece’s critical infrastructure,” Guilfoyle wrote. “DFC’s visit underscored America’s commitment to working together with our Greek partners on strategic projects, for the benefit of citizens in both countries.”
The meeting reflects ongoing U.S.-Greek cooperation in infrastructure development, with AKTOR — one of Greece’s largest construction and engineering firms — playing a key role in major national projects.
