Unending Strikes Between Israel and Iran: Head of Revolutionary Guard Intelligence Killed

The attacks between Israel and Iran show no signs of abating, as Tehran vowed a ‘devastating response’ to Israeli strikes on Iranian soil since Friday (June 13, 2025). IDF announced that the Israeli Air Force bombed an Iranian refueling aircraft at Mashhad Airport, located about 2,300 kilometers from Israel, marking the longest-range strike since the beginning of Operation Rising Lion. Around 8:20 PM Greek time, the Israeli military announced bombing dozens of ground-to-ground missile installations in western Iran. About two hours later, reports emerged from Tasnim News Agency that Iran’s Foreign Ministry in Tehran had been attacked, injuring several employees. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards intelligence service and his deputy were killed during Israeli attacks. Iranian state news agency IRNA later confirmed the deaths of three senior intelligence officers: Mohammad Kazemi, Hasan Mohaghegh, and Mohsen Bagheri. Meanwhile, long lines of traffic were reported on roads exiting Tehran as residents fled fearing further Israeli bombardments.
