At least two people lost their lives during a nighttime Russian drone attack on Ukraine’s capital, where fires broke out in apartment buildings and dozens of residents had to be evacuated urgently, according to an early morning announcement by the emergency services. A woman died due to falling debris that caused a fire in a building in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district, the service reported via Telegram. The urgent evacuation of 27 tenants of the building was required. Another person lost their life in the Holosiyivskyi district, as per the same source. Earlier, Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, mentioned seven injured in the attack through Telegram, just before negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow began for a limited ceasefire concerning energy installations and broader infrastructure in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone attack claimed the life of a man entering a vehicle in Russia’s Rostov region, announced regional governor Yuri Sliusar via Telegram. ‘The car caught fire due to the drone attack,’ explained Governor Sliusar. ‘One person inside the car was killed,’ he added.
