Ukraine Reports Record 472 Russian Drones Targeting Its Territory Overnight

In a statement today (1/6/25), Ukraine reported that its territory was targeted by 472 drones from Russia overnight, marking a record number since the start of the Russian invasion. This massive Russian attack on Ukraine occurred just ahead of new negotiations expected to take place with Moscow in Constantinople. Russia launched 472 unmanned aircraft and seven missiles, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, which stated that it neutralized 385 of them. A representative of the Air Force later confirmed to the French Agency that this was the largest attack of Russian drones since the war began in February 2022.
