The British police have arrested a fourth man in relation to the arson attack at the residence of UK Prime Minister, Kir Starmer. The 48-year-old suspect was apprehended at London’s Stansted Airport on Monday (02.06.2025). Initially stopped under the terrorism act, he was later arrested for allegedly conspiring to commit arson endangering lives, as stated in the police announcement. Last month, authorities were called to multiple fires at properties linked to the British Prime Minister: his home in North London, a nearby property where he also resided, and a vehicle that belonged to him. Authorities have so far charged three men regarding the arson attacks—two Ukrainians and one Romanian. None have been charged under anti-terrorism laws or the new National Security Act targeting hostile state activities. The three men, aged between 21 and 34, are currently in custody and are expected to appear at London’s Old Bailey Court on June 6, according to Monday’s police statement. Starmer, who officially resides at Downing Street 10 since becoming Prime Minister last July, described the incidents as an “attack against all of us, against our democracy and the values we represent.” The counter-terrorism unit is leading the investigation due to its connection with the Prime Minister.
