Covid-19

UK: At 6-month high daily cases

At the same time, those returning from France to Britain are disappointed – even the fully vaccinated are in quarantine

The daily cases of the last four days are the highest recorded since January 15.

Britain today recorded 41 deaths within 28 days of being diagnosed with Covid-19 in patients, less than the 49 recorded yesterday, Friday.

From Monday, fully vaccinated in the UK and coming from “orange” countries, including many tourist destinations in Europe, such as Italy or Spain, will no longer need to be quarantined upon arrival in the UK.

However, France will be an exception due to the “persistent presence” of cases of the Beta variant of the coronavirus, the government announced on Friday afternoon.

The governments of Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are likely to take the same action.
