A 28-year-old man with origins from China has been convicted for drugging and raping ten different women while they were unconscious, videotaping his heinous acts. According to the Independent, the 27-year-old student Zhenhao Zhou, studying in the UK, was convicted of raping three women in London and seven in his home country between 2019 and 2024. The 27-year-old was also found guilty of possessing extreme pornography, holding butanediol (a toxic liquid) used for committing rape, and human trafficking. Zhou’s arrest came after one of the victims reported him to the police, leading to the seizure of his camera and mobile phone, revealing videos of his attacks. ‘The victims mentioned that he initially presented himself as an intelligent and charming young man. However, he later drugged them either with narcotics or alcohol and raped them when they were incapacitated,’ the court heard. ‘He frequently recorded his actions, creating, according to the prosecution, keepsakes of the rapes he had committed – material he kept for his personal sexual gratification so he could watch it later in peace,’ was stated during the trial. Evidence from the videos presented in court shows the 27-year-old raping a woman known as Victim A. ‘I really don’t want this… I beg you, please don’t do this,’ the victim is heard saying, with the relentless rapist cynically responding, ‘Don’t resist, it’s pointless.’
