UEFA: Decided not to punish Neuer for armband in the colors of the LGBTQI community

UEFA has decided not to investigate Neuer’s move to wear a rainbow-colored armband

UEFA has decided not to investigate Neuer‘s move to wear a rainbow-colored armband.

The risk of punishment that existed for Manuel Neuer due to his move to wear an armband in the colors of the LGBTQI community no longer exists.

UEFA has informed the German Football Association that it will not proceed with an investigation as it had leaked, as the move of the “Nacionalmanshaft” goalkeeper is not considered, after all, a political position, but “a symbol in favor of diversity, therefore for a good cause”.

Neuer wore this armband in both Euro matches against France and Portugal.
