This is for two people with a history of travel to an affected by the disease, the which is transmitted by the bite of mosquitoes, as announced by the Authority Health Services (Health Service Executive, HSE) of Ireland.
The two persons are in good health and have fully recovered, said the HSE in a statement.
“The identification of cases of Ζίκα in Ireland is not an unexpected event, as well as many other european countries have reported outbreaks as a result of the trips (nationals) in areas affected by the outbreak of the virus,” added the authority.
