The General Staff of National Defence (GETHA) announced today (19.11.2024) that its air forces carried out, today Tuesday 19 November 2024, 12 of FIR Athens. Turkey also developed fighter aircraft in the Greek airspace, after six formations with F-16 and with F-4 Phantom advanced to “record” violations for 2024. Specifically, five pairs of F-16, one formation of three F-4, two UAVs, one ATR-72 and one CN-235, proceeded to 12 violations of FIR Athens in the southeastern Aegean. A total of 17 aircraft breached the national airspace. None of the fighter planes were armed.
