Turkey: The death toll from the floods has reached 62!

Floods swept through several Turkish cities in the Black Sea region have killed 62 people, according to a new report released by authorities tonight as operations continue to locate and rescue missing persons.

The floods caused chaos in northern provinces as authorities announced the fires had been brought under control after raging for two weeks in the southern coastal areas.

Fifty-two people died in the floods in Kastamoni province, another nine in Sinop, and one in Bartin, the Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) said.
