The Technical Chamber of Greece (TTE) announced today (March 11, 2025) the official commencement of insolvency proceedings for the German insurer Element Insurance. According to TTE, Germany’s financial supervisory authority (BaFin) reported that the competent Berlin Court decided on the final initiation of insolvency proceedings for Element Insurance, effective as of March 1, 2025. In Greece, Element Insurance operated under the Freedom of Services Provision (FSP) regime.
