Tsitsipas Loses 0-2 to Korda: Early Exit for Greek Tennis Star at Miami Open

in

The Greek tennis star, Stefanos Tsitsipas, couldn’t advance far in this year’s Miami Open. He suffered a 2-0 set defeat against Sebastian Korda, marking an early exit from the tournament. Tsitsipas faced Korda (No.25) once again since their match in 2021, but this time around, he lost 2-0 sets and was eliminated before reaching the ’32’ stage of the Miami Open. The Greek champion put up a strong fight in the first set, narrowly losing it in a tie-break (7-6). In the second set, however, Tsitsipas struggled significantly as Korda quickly took the lead with a commanding 4-0 start. Although Tsitsipas attempted a comeback (4-2), Korda proved superior and secured victory with a final score of 6-3. With both Maria Sakkari also out of contention, Greek tennis no longer has representation in the Miami Open.
