Former U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed he has issued explicit contingency instructions for how the United States should respond if Iran were to carry out an assassination attempt against him. Speaking to the New York Post, Trump said he has long been a target of Iranian intelligence and confirmed he has left detailed directives for military action in such a scenario.
“I’ve been on their list for a very long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” Trump stated, adding: “I’ve left orders. If anything happens, just bomb them — literally at levels they’ve never seen before.”
The remarks followed questions about recent reports indicating that Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, had alerted U.S. officials to new Iranian plotting against Trump. According to an exclusive report by The Wall Street Journal, Mossad reportedly shared intelligence with American agencies suggesting Tehran was developing a fresh assassination plan targeting the former president.
However, Trump clarified he is not aware of any immediate or active threat, emphasizing instead that Iran has sought his assassination for years — a longstanding concern rather than a sudden development.
