Donald Trump, expected to arrive shortly in The Hague to attend the NATO Summit, will not be staying at a hotel but rather at the residence of the King and Queen of the Netherlands. Trump will reside at the Huis ten Bosch Palace, located within a forest in the northwest part of The Hague, following an official dinner held in honor of the leaders of NATO member states. ‘The king offered accommodation to the U.S. President, and he accepted,’ according to a statement from the royal press office. ‘It is customary for visiting state leaders to be offered lodging (at one of the three palaces) by the king,’ clarified the press office to the French News Agency (AFP). Known for his preference for all things formal and grandiose, including royal families, Trump will enjoy a stay complete with breakfast, scheduled to share with King Willem-Alexander on Wednesday morning, June 25th. Hidden among the trees, Huis ten Bosch serves as the primary residence of the royal family. The 17th-century palace features a reception hall, numerous salons, and a tennis court. The official dinner will take place in the magnificent Orange Hall, the jewel of the palace. Invited guests are accommodated in the ‘Hague Wing.’ On Tuesday morning (June 24, 2025), cyclists could still pass by the palace as many Dutch do on their way to work, but security has been heightened with the arrival of the leaders.
