Trump Swear: Morning Mass, Tea With Biden and Polar Cold in Washington

Eight years after his first inauguration, he will again take the presidential oath to Monday and become the 47th president of the US. This time, however, the festivities for Donald Trump’s inauguration will be limited due to the polar cold in Washington. CORVERSE With the temperature expected at −10 degrees and with the possibility of snowfall, Trump will be sworn in to Rotunda, Capitol and not, as usual, on his steps, which will first happen for 40 years. The day of inauguration will begin with morning Mass and follow traditional tea with the Bidens to the White House. The official ceremony will begin around 11.30 in the morning, local time (18.30 Greek time), although guests should take their seats much earlier. CORVERSE Trump will put his hand in the Bible and take the official, brief oath (just 35 words) at 12 noon, promising that he will perform his duties and do everything possible to “preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution.” Previously, the new vice president of the country, Senator J.D. Vance, will be sworn in. Exceptionally, due to the cold, the ceremony will be broadcast by giant screens on Capital One Arena stadium, with a capacity of 20,000 seats. There will then be hosted the traditional presidential parade that is usually held in Mol and in which 7,500 people were planned to participate. Trump promised that after he delivered his speech he would go to meet the citizens. It is unknown what issues it will focus on and how long (in the first inauguration it spoke for 16 minutes), but it is estimated that it will refer to the promises it has made campaigning, especially for the closure of borders and the deportation of thousands of immigrants. The historic day will end in the evening with three traditional dances. The new president is expected to take all the floor. The festivities will start on Saturday night (18/01/2025), however, with a reception and a fireworks show on one of Trump’s golf courses less than an hour from Washington, Sterling, Virginia. Sunday afternoon (19/01/2025) Trump will address a gathering of thousands of his supporters in the federal capital. On the morning of the same day he will deposit a wreath at the grave of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The chapter “oraclesia” will close with the operation at the National Cathedral on Tuesday morning (20/01/2025). Dragons protection measures Security measures taken in the city are draconian, after both attempts to kill Trump, last summer: about 25,000 policemen and soldiers have been mobilized, bars were placed at a length of 48 km, snipers will be deployed on the roofs and drones will be supervised from above. However, the authorities expect only small demonstrations, compared to the protests against Trump organized during its first inauguration, in 2017, in which thousands of people participated. REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque The high guests and “sound” absentees Among the guests, the omnipresent now Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, close associate, financial supporter and future minister of Trump, but also Amazon’s “boss” Jeff Bezos, Meta Mark Zuckerberg and Apple Tim Cook. It is possible that TikTok CEO Soo Zhi Chow is there. Of the politicians, two absentees stand out: former first lady Michelle Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Barack Obama, succeeded by Trump in 2017, for his first term, will be present, as will both other former presidential couples, Bill and Hillary Clinton and George W. with Laura Bush. To the inauguration have been invited the far right premiers of Italy Georgia Meloni and Hungary Victor Orban, as well as other personalities of the European far right: British Nigel Farage, French Eric Zemur and Marion Maresal and Tino Khrupala, a leading executive of the Alternative for Germany. A.” (1978) he was inextricably accompanying Trump’s election gatherings, who tends to take some “dance” steps listening to it. In 2021 in Joe Biden’s inauguration Hollywood stars Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez appeared. This time at the ceremony country singer Carrie Underwood and tenor Christopher Machio will sing. The first will perform the patriotic song “America the beautiful” and the second the national anthem.
