Donald Trump characterized Iran’s response as ‘weak’ following the bombing of a US base in Qatar. The former U.S. President thanked Tehran for ‘timely notification,’ ensuring no casualties. In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced that no American was injured and damages from Iran’s attack were minimal. He emphasized that the most important thing is that tensions have eased, and he hopes there will be no further hostility. ‘Iran responded officially to the elimination of its nuclear facilities with a very weak response, as expected, which we dealt with great effectiveness. Fourteen missiles were launched – thirteen were intercepted and one was allowed to pass freely because it was heading in a non-threatening direction. I am pleased to announce that no American was injured, and damages were minimal. Most importantly, tensions have eased, and I hope there will be no further animosity. I want to thank Iran for notifying us in time, which prevented any loss of life or injuries. Perhaps now Iran will move towards peace and harmony in the region, and I warmly encourage Israel to do the same.’
