U.S. President Donald Trump announced today (2.7.25) a 20% tariff on all products sent from Vietnam to U.S. soil. Regarding product transshipments through Vietnam, tariffs will amount to 40%, according to the same U.S.-Vietnam trade agreement. Specifically, Trump stated, ‘The terms are that Vietnam will pay the U.S. a 20% tariff on all goods sent to our territory and a 40% tariff on any transshipment,’ in a post on his Truth Social platform. ‘They will OPEN THEIR MARKET TO THE UNITED STATES, which means we will be able to sell our products in Vietnam with ZERO tariff,’ continued the U.S. President.
