Trump Imposes 20% Tariff on All Vietnamese Imports to U.S.

The American president announced today (02.07.2025) that Vietnam will pay a 20% tariff on all products sent to the territory of the United States and a 40% tariff on transshipment within a trade agreement. Specifically, Trump stated, ‘The terms are that Vietnam will pay the United States a 20% tariff on all goods it sends to our territory and a 40% tariff on any transshipment,’ in a post on his Truth Social platform. ‘They will OPEN THEIR MARKET TO THE UNITED STATES, meaning we will be able to sell our product in Vietnam with ZERO tariffs,’ continued the American President.
