U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he signed an order extending the June 19 deadline by 90 days for the divestiture of TikTok’s U.S. assets from its China-based company, ByteDance. “I just signed the executive order that extends the deadline for the TikTok shutdown by 90 days (September 17, 2025),” Trump specifically mentioned in a post on Truth Social. The U.S. president had already suspended the TikTok ban twice, which was imposed by Congress and was supposed to take effect in January.
